Logistics in Wallonia has defined 3 spheres of excellence:

• security, safety, prevention, environment
• transport, distribution, warehousing
• processing, packaging..

Examples of projects supported by Logistics in Wallonia :

• the development of a range of new solutions in follow up and traceability suitable for multimodality
• developing a new vocal interface system for integrated logistics management
• setting up integrated traceability management, thanks in particular to an e-logistics management system
• development of electronic bills of lading enabling procedures to be simplified and accelerated

The priorities established by the Walloon centre in technological domains, and the directions adopted through the projects which have been selected, are in perfect harmony with European objectives.

Projects are selected according to three essential criteria:

• their multi-disciplinary nature and transversal technological domains
• the presence of service providers of differing sizes, including at least one technological leader in each project
• projects involving both innovators and integrators.
