Steelgate, Inc. a global leader in Biomedical Specimen Storage and Management has expanded its operations into Europe and is excited to announce the opening of Steelgate SPRL in Liege, Belgium. Steelgate SPRL debuts its European service offerings at the 2009 Biomedica in Liege.
Steelgate SPRL has spent the last several months setting up a facility located on the University Liege Sart Tilman campus and is ready for business. Steelgate SPRL’s European operation will offer the same unparalleled sample management services, assets and standard operating procedures currently offered through the company’s U.S. headquarters located in Bradenton, Florida.
“Steelgate SPRL’s expansion in Europe is in response to clients requests for Steelgate to have a ‘local’ European facility to store and manage our client’s biomedical specimens while creatively assisting our clients with ways for them to try to stay within their budget,” said Kate Grayson, chief executive officer and founder of Steelgate. “The central location of Belgium, (Liege) with direct access to the life science regional hub of Maastricht, Aachen and Liege, the local agency support and BioLogistics initiative strongly influenced Steelgate’s decision to settle in Wallonia. Steelgate’s new BioRepository will target European-based pharmaceutical and biotech firms, Biobanks and research and academic organizations. As with our U.S.-based operation, Steelgate’s Liege site will offer worldwide, quality service to all our clients, large and small.
