The competition identifies the best innovation (at Technology Readiness Level 7 or above) from Large Enterprises as well as deciding on the best innovation from the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) nominations.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\">The competition also identifies \u2018Coup de C\u0153ur\u2019 awards from the remaining nominations where the jury identified particularly strong nominations that were worthy of special recognition.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\">It goes without saying, that without any nominations, there could not be a competition &#8211; and all 25 nominations along with their parent railway clusters are to be commended on submitting the nominations.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\">As we continue to live and operate \u2018with COVID\u2019 and it is still very much affecting our lives; nonetheless, it has been particularly enrichening to be able to stage this year\u2019s ceremony as an \u2018in person\u2019 event, as we did last year during InnoTrans 2022 in Berlin.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\">We remain most grateful to Professor Markus Hecht, Head of the Chair for \u2018Rail Vehicles\u2019 at TU Berlin for his most valuable contribution as Chairperson of the ERCI Railway Innovation Competition Jury and for presenting the awards during the ERCI Innovation Awards Ceremony.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\"><b><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size:15.0pt\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\">The 2023 ERCI Innovation Awards<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11pt\"><span style=\"line-height:107%\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri,sans-serif\">The 25 participating companies have had their submissions assessed by a European Jury composed of railway experts from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden, T\u00fcrkiye and the United Kingdom.
